Tashi Dondup was arrested for writing and singing these songs about what is happening in Tibet. There is no freedom of speech on the Tibetan plateau, people cannot say what they think or express what they feel.
Human rights violations are a common occurrence in my country. China thinks they can break the Tibetan spirit but we are strong, we have the Dalai Lama, we have the courage and resilience of our ancestors and most importantly we have Buddhist prayers and love in our hearts.
Below the video of Tashi Dondup is the translation of his song. He is very brave and has written and sung this song for his people, for Tibet even though it may cost him his life. And now he has been arrested and is being tortured by the Chinese government people who don't understand, who don't have wisdom or love in their hearts.
I am so very sad...i pray that the Tibetan genocide will stop and that Tibet and China may be friends and good neighbors.
Some people say that I'm a good person, but some people say that I'm bad person. It doesn't matter, what matters is my suffering for my missing Lama. I am going to spread this issue throughout the land of snow. Even if I am killed because of this, it won't be regretted.
