I believe it is the intention of the tattoo that matters. As you are in good consiousness it doesn't matter where you place it. Your whole body is sacred. Enjoy it wherever you'd like! namaste

Hi, ya everything I have read about tibetan tattoos say that you should definately get them ABOVE the waist. That shows respect for the language and culture of tibetan people and tibet. A lotus tattoo would be awesome, ya, that's a good idea. I hope you put up a pic when you get it.
